Also announced: a new Apple Watch that would seem to improve upon the 2015 version, which was widely panned for
inaccurate and spotty fitness tracking.
Our main event was the unveiling of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, which features a new A10 Fusion chip, new top-and-bottom stereo speakers, an overhauled Force Touch button (formerly the Home button) and a water-resistant coating.
All iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models will include EarPods with “Lightning Connector” and a Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter, also sold separately for Rs 2,500 and Rs 900, respectively.
The world’s best-known technology company said the iPhone 7 would start at $649 (US), it is the same price as the 6S predecessor. But while that’s grabbing attention, Apple introduced a set of solid upgrades that will surely drive iPhone 7 and 7 Plus sales. Double-tapping the side of the AirPods triggers Siri, and a built-in mic lets you both talk to Siri or place a phone call.
The announcement came alongside the launch of the iPhone 7, which is also waterproof.
Apple’s Phil Schiller said the phone was “the best” the company had ever made.
In October, you’ll be able to purchase new Apple’s new AirPods – wireless headphones that look like Apple’s current offering without the wires – for $159.
Instead, the company is making iPhone owners listen with wireless Bluetooth headsets or with earphones that can plug into the phone’s digital “Lightning” port, which has been used primarily for charging.
Both are available for pre-order September 9, and will ship out September 16.
A new Quad-LED True Tone flash that is 50 percent brighter than iPhone 6s and includes an innovative sensor to detect flickering lights and to compensate for it in videos and photos.

Pre-orders for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus begins from September 9 and the shipping will start from September 16 first in 25 countries and other countries a week later. “In the last two months, we’ve seen [downloads] grow by 106 per cent year over year”, Cook told the audience, adding that Apple App Store has seen two times as much revenue as our closest competitor. In addition, Apple announced a new line of watches in collaboration with Nike and Hermès.
