Jennifer Lawrence tops list of best paid actresses
“You hear Jennifer Lawrence complaining about getting paid less because she’s a woman – if she was Black, she’d really have something to complain about”.

The “Hunger Games” star-who, according to Forbes, made $46 million before fees and taxes in the year through June 1, 2016-recently sold her starter condo in Santa Monica, Calif.
Lawrence earned most of her money from the final installment of “The Hunger Games”, which grossed 3.4 million worldwide.
So while it is a huge celebration for Jennifer we hope that next year’s list doesn’t have such a big gap between the highest paid actor and actress.
Perennial A-list darling Scarlett Johansson came in third with US$25 million, while Jennifer Aniston, who makes most of her cash through endorsements, bagged US$21 million. The 2014 Sony email hack revealed that the actress, along with Amy Adams, were paid less than their male co-stars for the movie American Hustle. Forbes’s highest-paid actor list for 2016 is expected to be published soon.
Following Lawrence in terms of earnings was Melissa McCarthy, the comedienne who starred in the controversial all-female reboot of Ghostbusters. This is $13 million more than the second-highest ranked, Melissa McCarthy.
And Forbes’ 2016 World’s highest paid celebrities is full of men.
Ranking #3 ($25 million) on the list is Avengers star Scarlett Johansson, whose total was bolstered from the $17.5 million she is earning from Ghost in the Shell. ScarJo’s receipts went down by $10 million; McCarthy’s rose by $10 million.
Julia Roberts was last seen in Mother’s Day which bombed pretty bad at the box office.

Coming in second was amusing lady Melissa McCarthy with $33 million, followed by Scarlett Johansson and Jennifer Aniston in third and fourth with $25 and $21 million, respectively. Mila Kunis, US$11 million 10.
