Apple was a victim of its own hype yesterday as its highly anticipated product reveal failed to produce a significant stock bump and the latest version of the iPhone seemed to feature only run-of-the-mill improvements.

While the company sold almost 92 million iPhones in the first six months of this year, that’s about 15 percent fewer than the same period last year.
While Apple has touted total iPhone sales of one billion, the number sold in the quarter ending June 25 fell 15 percent from a year earlier, highlighting concerns over growth for the key profit driver.
The new jet black finish will be offered exclusively on the 128GB and 256GB models from apple.com, Apple Stores, Apple Authorized Resellers and at select carriers. The iPhone 7 Plus, however, has two 12-megapixel cameras the back, one wide-angle and other telephoto.
Wireless audio accessories aren’t new for smartphones, but Apple has officially introduced a wireless earphone as an accessory to the iPhone for the first time. A new version of Apple’s smartwatch will come with Global Positioning System tracking for more accurate workouts and enough water resistance to swim with it, although the company didn’t mention anything about its expected battery life. But it also means you will be unable to use wired headphones while charging an iPhone 7, something you might want to do during, for example, a cross-country flight.
That something new is a brand new wireless standard in the form of a product called Apple AirPods.
Apple instead announced that the new phones will come with headphones which plug into the lightning port, which until now was used only for charging.
All eyes were on Apple on Wednesday as the company unveiled the new iPhone 7 and other products during an event in San Francisco.
As for swims, the previous Apple Watch model is resistant to splashes, but not extensive use in water.
It might not matter to hard-core music fans anyway-audiophiles scoff at listening to music via Apple’s headphones.
As expected, Apple has announced the Apple Watch series 2.
