Couple married 57 years shine in photo shoot inspired by ‘The Notebook’
So last week, the Oklahoma couple chose to celebrate nearly 60 years of their fairytale romance with a fairytale photo shoot inspired by the film, complete with Noah’s blue truck, a stack of love letters and original 1940s outfits. “I’d hate it if they didn’t know what ‘[The Notebook]’ was, but [Clemma] goes, ‘Oh we love that movie”.

The following day, Welch-Christ posted an album from the Wewoka, Oklahoma shoot on her Facebook page, which has now been shared more than 32,000 times, with many commenters remarking how handsome and full of love the photos are.
Welch-Christ shot the grandparents as they posed together in 1940s outfits, and props that look like they could have come straight from the movie set.
“Loving each other for 57 years and counting”, the Facebook post says for Clemma and Sterling Elmore’s handsome photo shoot.
Welch-Christ posted the photos to her business’s Facebook page on September 3 following the Friday photoshoot.
Asked about the secret to their enduring love, Elmore — who had two children with her husband – said couples should put God first in their lives and their marriage, work at their relationship and respect each other.
“Clemma and Sterling were the most precious couple”, Welch-Christ told The Huffington Post.
Clemma explained why Sterling will always be her main man. She also attributed their relationship’s longevity “to the fact that we never fail to tell each other, probably 10 times a day, ‘I love you'”.
In February the pair will celebrate their 58th wedding anniversary. “When I met Sterling, he was like that and we knew we loved each other immediately”, Clemma Elmore said. “Sterling is the sweetest loving person I’ve ever met”.
“I’m extremely sentimental”, she said. “Marriage is an inspiration if you treat it right”. Stacy shared the pictures on her Facebook page over the weekend, paying tribute to “two very special people”.

Clemma’s note to Sterling read: “You are my life and my true love”.
