The headphone jack, viewed as an essential tool, considering the use of the phone as a multi-media device has been replaced with wireless technology, however the new wireless ear buds will come with a price that’s roughly $200.

MIDTOWN- You can swim with the new Apple watch on, while the freshly unveiled iPhone 7 is water-resistant and no longer comes with a headphone jack.
Apple says the device can cope with 30 minutes under water with suffering an ill-effects. “The courage to move on and do something new that will benefit all of us”.
However, Apple also revealed new wireless earphones, called AirPods, that will connect to both iPhone and Apple Watch remotely. Apple was not able to introduce any shocking new features because the most important aspects had already been documented weeks or months earlier.
Apple made its account on Twitter official – with a blue checkmark to show the messages were legitimately from the company – just five days ago, with the intention of using it to promote the phone.
The iPhone 7 and the Plus version have launched in the United States as of now and will go on sale from September 16.
iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will launch in Australia on September 16 from $1079 and $1269 respectively. They will be available for US$159, beginning in late October.
Instead, new phones will come with special adapters that plug into the same port as a charging/data cord.
Announcing the new phone, Cook described the iPhone 7 as the “best iPhone that we have ever created”.
The iPhone7 will look similar to the iPhone 6 – it’s available in legacy colors of silver, gold and rose gold – but will also be offered in matte black and high-gloss black finish.
Apple kicked off its event in California with a surprise appearance from legendary game designer Shigeru Miyamoto from Nintendo.
The iPhone 7 Plus is closer to becoming a DSLR camera.
Apple has also upgraded the chip and GPU powering the watch, and improved the display to a twice as bright as before.

The other big announcement, Apple Watch Series 2 with some enhancements for people who love to exercise Global Positioning System so you can figure out where you are and where you’re going when you’re out on a run and for swimmers, the new Apple watch will be waterproof.
