Jameis Winston Gives Rousing Speech To Florida State At Halftime
The flip was eerily similar to those achieved by Florida State’s 2014 team, which was known for getting off to slow starts before rallying late.

For most of the first half Monday night, the Florida State Seminoles were thoroughly outplayed by the Ole Miss Rebels. Well, Jameis Winston might have played a role. Per Chase Goodbread of NFL.com, Florida State’s second-half comeback of 33 points with 26 scored in the third quarter was the biggest in the school’s history.
And thanks to Showtime Sports’ exclusive access to the Seminoles for the entire college football season as a part of their “A Season With Florida State Football” series, there’s also footage of an impassioned Winston bearing his heart and soul in an inspiring locker room speech to the down, but clearly not out, Seminoles at halftime.
If Winston’s Bucs halftime speeches this year are anything like that video, it looks like Martin’s premonitions will hold true.
Warning: The message is not suitable for work (or small children), but here it is, with the transcription below. Your team, your heartbeat.
“We some dogs, we ain’t no puppies”, a seemingly disgusted Winston said. Wide receivers, y’all can not be stopped. We’ve got the best running back in the whole damn league. O-line, wake up! Y’all been in there. you’ve got the hardest coach on you, Coach [Rick] Trickett, get in your ass. Hell no! He get in my ass and I play quarterback!

Perhaps Winston’s speech wasn’t the reason the Seminoles came back to win, but it certainly didn’t hurt. He took it up a notch when he traveled to Orlando Monday night for the Camping World Kickoff.
