Trump Made Illegal Campaign Donation To Florida AG

The donation – which was solicited by Bondi, according to the Associated Press – was received four days after Bondi’s office announced that it was reviewing fraud allegations made against Trump University in a NY class-action lawsuit.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign team has grown frustrated that as focus is trained on Clinton’s own family foundation, little attention – in their eyes – has been paid to Trump’s donation to Bondi. Eric T. Schneiderman, the New York AG, filed suit in 2013 against Trump University and said that the school “misrepresented” and “bilked students” of thousands of dollars.

In 2000, the New York State lobbying commission imposed a $250,000 (£187,000) fine after Trump dodged disclosing the extent of his lobbying of state legislators, the Times reported.

Dan Gelber says despite their vast ideological differences, he’s always gotten along with Attorney General Pam Bondi, the woman who defeated him for the position back in 2010.

Donald Trump has long insisted he’s uniquely qualified to fix a political system corrupted by campaign contributions because he knows that system inside and out.

Bondi has all along maintained that the check to her campaign and the choice not to go after Trump University in Florida were never tied together.

But it wasn’t until this month that anyone knew the Donald J. Trump Foundation had actually been punished for breaking the law with that donation to Bondi.

But Trump’s favors to Bondi didn’t end with opening his own checkbook.

Donald Trump has demanded that Hillary Clinton be investigated, tried and convicted of bribery in connection with meetings she held as secretary of state with those who gave to her foundation. NY accused the so-called university of bilking students who had signed up to learn the billionaire’s money-making secrets. “They reported it, but through a charitable organization by mistake”. So while there is certainly no proof that Bondi announced she was considering charges against Trump University in a very unsubtle effort to goose Trump into cutting that check, and her spokesman denied she even knew about the complaints against Trump U when she solicited the donation, the timing of it all is enormously sketchy.

This June, a consultant who worked with Bondi’s campaign told the Associated Press that Bondi had personally asked for a contribution from Trump, saying the “process took at least several weeks, from the time they spoke to the time they received the contribution”. He said Bondi’s office dropped the case against Trump University because it lacked merit.

Trump: “I never spoke to her” …

The IRS penalty wasn’t the first time Trump was fined for his political activities.

Excerpt: “Donald Trump made headlines last week for paying a $2,500 IRS fine for improperly using money from a charity to fund a campaign committee for Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi”.

“I can’t believe that anyone would insult Pam Bondi that way”, Christie said. ” Tur then played a clip of a Trump rally from January 9 2016, “I’ve got to give it to them, because when I want something I get it”.

– There was never any recommendation by the staff to investigate or sue Trump University in 2013, and consequently, the matter never rose to the attorney general’s level for any decision of any kind. “When I call, they kiss my a [bleep]”.
