Gary Johnson begins first TV push with debates looming
That means Clinton has received more than 5,000 times more coverage than Johnson, while Donald Trump garnered almost 10,000 times more evening news airtime than his Libertarian challenger.

Gary was the Libertarian Party candidate in the 2012 election as well, so he’s been through the campaign wringer before.
Voters like Carlos Moreno could help him catch fire.
The embarrassing exchange followed a forum on Wednesday night in which Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump tried to showcase their national security and defense credentials. “I’ve thought about Johnson, but I haven’t begun reading up on him”.
The third party possibility that drew the most attention this year was former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, whose primary season flirtation with a possible independent challenge drew roughly eight minutes of evening news airtime – on all three networks – before he opted not to run.
The party is also arguing that Johnson’s endorsement by VP nominee Sen. Neither is remotely within reach of carrying a state. Johnson has support from 11% of the voters in Virginia and Stein has 3%. On Friday, Stein appeared in OH, a key battleground state with 18 electoral votes. “Ohio’s been hit really hard by these corporate trade agreements by NAFTA, by the Trans Pacific Partnership, which Hillary Clinton used to support, which Donald (Trump) says he doesn’t”.
Well folks, it’s election season again, and we will have to choose which of four viable candidates to choose for president. She is serving in many states, not just CT, as a “placeholder” candidate, who would eventually be replaced by Johnson.
“It could happen”, said Flake. “It’s whether the American people will have a voice-whether we will have a real discussion of the crisis of jobs, of the climate, of race, of war and a crisis of a generation”.
But the politics of third-party spoilers are complicated. The deadline to submit the signatures was August 10. Clinton has led in most polls since early May, leading by as many as 14 points. That could indicate that Johnson gives a home to voters who feel closer to the Republican Party, but are not planning on supporting Trump even in a two-person race.
The Libertarian Party’s nominee, Gary Johnson, is vying for a spot in the September 26 debate and could end up giving the main two candidates a run for their money.
“Okay, got it. Got it”, Johnson said. Johnson needs to garner 15 percent support or better in an average of national polls to qualify for the upcoming presidential debates.

But before we get ahead of ourselves, some perspective: polling averages released Tuesday from Real Clear Politics, FiveThirtyEight, and CNN’s Poll of Polls show that the candidates poll almost the same as they did seven weeks ago.
