Koeman not interested in Joe Hart

Potential solutions do not appear to include a switch to Everton, after Ronald Koeman ruled out a move for Hart, while Guardiola is delighted to secure his ninth signing since succeeding Manuel Pellegrini as City boss.

When asked about whether his future lies away from Manchester, he simply said: “That’s not for me to say”. “Time shows I made mistakes at Barcelona and (Bayern) Munich, but I have to take them”, Guardiola said.

Although Guardiola’s comments were meant to reassure Hart to a degree, the reality is he will nearly certainly be confined to playing in the domestic cup competitions.

He said: “He’s fit but he’s not going to play this weekend”.

“But I will try and implement our point of view, our way, to see our game here in England”.

City’s fans sang “Don’t sell Joe Hart!” and “City’s number one!”, while a second-half chorus of “Stand up if you love Joe Hart!” drew nearly the whole stadium to its feet.

But plenty of elite clubs in England have top-quality goalkeepers already in place, and given the wages Hart would command, it’s understandable that some wouldn’t be too keen to bring him in. “It’s enough. I’m so happy with the squad and the team”.

Joe Hart has fallen down the packing order at Man city and Willy Caballero has been prefered and has been number one in Manchester City’s first two Premier League.

Barcelona keeper Claudio Bravo has completed his move to the Etihad, Willy Caballero is poised to continue as first choice keeper in Sundays’ game against West Ham and highly-regarded youngster Angus Gunn has not left the club on loan.

“I was honest with Joe and the club and all the players”. “If the transfer window is closed and he is here, he has to stay here and he will be treated like another one”.

Hart has become City’s third-choice goalkeeper since the arrival of Pep Guardiola, with Willy Caballero and new signing Claudio Bravo now ahead of the England worldwide in the pecking order. “And with the goalkeeper with more than 100 caps for his national team and a team that can compete with Argentina or Brazil, it’s a really good asset for us”. “Now I will challenge the other great goalkeepers here and together I hope we can win many trophies”.
