Clinton Camp’s New Ad Responding To Trump’s Comments About Vets And Military
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton speaks during a “commander in chief forum” hosted by NBC in NY on Wednesday. While the candidates never appeared on stage together, the session served as a preview of sorts for their highly-anticipated presidential debates. The forum could serve as a warm-up to their highly anticipated first presidential debate, scheduled for September 26 in NY.

“If you want more happy Labor Days, you know who to vote for”, she added.
“We have no interest in a Republican nominee for whom all principles are negotiable, nor in a Republican Party that is willing to trade away principle for pursuit of electoral victory”, they wrote.
Trump noted that Dr. Harold Bornstein released a one-page statement in December declaring that if elected, Trump would “be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency”.
Clinton, by contrast, sought to re-emphasise her foreign policy expertise while defending her legacy as Obama’s Secretary of State.
Trump remained persistently vague about his plans for defeating the Islamic State group, insisting that he privately has a blueprint for taking on the terror group but wanted to remain “unpredictable”.
Still, the small ad buy suggests Clinton, for now, is more interested in coaxing Trump or independent groups that back him into spending money in Georgia. “IAVA is honored to join with NBC on this significant event that will ensure that America’s next Commander-in-Chief, at least for one night, addresses our nation’s moral obligation to support and empower its 22 million veterans, our service members and our military families”.
Lauer then asked if Trump if he believes “the only way to fix it is to take women out of the military”, but the candidate largely dodged the question. Lauer asked if the US was being played by Iran.
Trump said that in Libya, Iraq and “anywhere she got involved, things got worse”.
“On the nuclear issue, no”, she said.
Trump also says he would build up the Marine corps based on 36 battalions, a proposal sourced to the conservative Heritage Foundation, which has traditionally played a role in setting Republicans’ foreign policy agenda. Fulton clarified her question was about those who want to serve.
Clinton attacked Trump for seemingly contradictory plans to combat ISIS, saying he’s both promised to send American ground troops into Syria and let Syria become a free zone for the militants.
“No, I’m talking about general here”, Trump said.
Tonight’s Commander-in-Chief Forum was billed as voters’ first chance to see Trump and Clinton head-to-head, even though they were not in the same place at the same time. Trump said it was a sign of disrespect and he would have left immediately if he had been president. His campaign says they include asking Congress to fully eliminate the defense sequester that has reduced the military budget.
