Neither Drake nor Future have used their social media pages to comment on the heist, and they also made no mention of it as they continued with their tour in Los Angeles on Wednesday night (07Sep16), when they performed the first of three dates at the Staples Center.

The jewelry was taken from the tour bus that was parked at Talking Stick Resort.

King, whom police have described as a transient, was found with a briefcase that contained all of the jewellery belonging to Drake’s DJ Future the Prince.

Sgt Lewis did not say who owned the jewellery, but he confirmed it did not belong to Drake. He was arrested Wednesday on the Arizona State University Tempe campus after he was caught trespassing.

According to police, the suspect removed a briefcase containing the jewellery within a 15-minute window.

Drake and Future were appearing in the city’s downtown as part of the “Summer Sixteen Tour”, which began in July, according to the event website.

One of the most recognisable rappers for hits such as Hotline Bling and albums such as Nothing Was the Same, his latest album, Views, was released last spring. A video shared by TMZ shows the rapper visibly upset with arena security. He has yet to play any shows in the United Kingdom for his “Views” album.
