While the Galaxy S7 has a bigger, higher-resolution screen, bigger battery an added microSD slot, Apple is touting the iPhone 7’s processor as the fastest available in any smartphone, and its new 12MP camera as the best on the market.

The new iPhone, which will become available in major markets on September 16, features advanced camera systems, more power and performance. But unlike in years past, the iPhone 7 offers little new for Chinese consumers: no affordable models such as the SE and 5C, a radical redesign, new colours – anything that lets other people know at a glance that it’s the latest and greatest. While today’s Apple event was all about the iPhone 7 and second-generation Apple Watch, Apple quietly updated its iPad line in a subtle yet important way.

Display: Both iPhone 7 and iPhone 6s Plus feature a 4.7-inch HD LED display running at a resolution of 1334×750 pixels, and pixel density of 326ppi. The iPhone 7 Plus comes with an extra telephoto camera capable of optical zoom.

The disappearance of the headphone jack would “probably annoy a certain amount of people” but they would probably get over it, Binger said.
Analysts were split on whether new iPhones would help Apple regain momentum. That will be the iPhone’s 10th anniversary.
