Cincinnati men held in killing of Colorado man
The body found in Wiggins by Morgan County Sheriff’s deputies on Saturday has been identified as a missing man from Fort Collins.

Smeltz’s family reported the man missing from Fort Collins on August 26. His body was later found on September 3 along U.S. Highway 34 in Morgan County.
Smeltz’s body was found in a row of trees in a rural area about 70 miles east of Fort Collins.
Michael Gresham, Lawrence Greggs and Joshua Baker – all 20 years old – were stopped for traffic violations by Illinois State Police on August 27 and arrested on unrelated charges.
On Monday, September 5, three warrants by the Court of Larimer County were issued for the arrest of Michael Gresham, Lawrence Greggs and Joshua Baker.
After obtaining warrants, police said they discovered that the trio was already in custody in Vermilion County, Illinois. According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, investigators quickly began treating the death as a homicide.
Fort Collins police officials are not releasing additional information or details about the case as the investigation is ongoing.

“The facts surrounding this case continue to be investigated”, Fort Collins police said in a news release Wednesday.
