Google To Expand their Business with ‘Alphabet’
Despite the now bare appearance of http://abc.xyz and various reports about the new parent company in Chinese media, censor-tracking website Greatfire.org confirmed that the website 100 percent blocked in China. The company has now drawn the line more clearly between its R&D efforts and its core businesses.

The radical move is designed to make the sprawling technology company, which has branched out into fields such as robotics, medicine and home appliances in recent years, more transparent, and will see Mr Page take a step back from Google’s day-to-day operations.
As part of the change, longtime Google CEO Larry Page said he would hand over the reins of the company’s mainstay search-engine division to the company’s product chief, Sundar Pichai. “G is for Google”, the company said, but it didn’t assign names to the other 25 letters. The Internet giant has been eyeing the health care industry for quite sometime now. With the new structure, Google operates as a leaner organisation that can focus on the core internet products that it cut its teeth on.
And to keep the CEOs of its newly “independent” businesses happy under their alphabetical overlords.
The new operating structure “will be introduced in phases over the coming months”, according to Google’s regulatory filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, and will mean separate financial statements from the Google unit and its parent. It also allows them to align such units properly and support more growth. Google’s corporate motto is famously “don’t be evil”, although that hasn’t stopped the company from getting into strife with the European Union, which has been trying to break up Google for years, over its market dominance, or being criticised by various countries (including Australia) for not paying much tax. India-based Sundar Pichai was named CEO of Google, which is the world’s biggest and also completely claimed oraganisation.
The new Google CEO, Pichai, has been with the company since 2004.
Google will be rebranded as a subsidiary of Alphabet and in charge of numerous consumer services that we associate with online-Google: Maps, YouTube, Google Apps, Android, Google Ads, and of course the Search that made Google a verb. CEO Larry Page said in a press release to the investors.
Alphabet will run Google’s X Lab skunkworks, along with Google’s prototype drone delivery service and other advanced projects, including presumably its self-driving cars and its robotics division. Results for the other Alphabet businesses will be reported as a whole.
“Alphabet is mostly a collection of companies”.
