St. John’s University president Conrado Gempesaw said, “Tiarah was pursuing a dual degree B.S./M.S. program in the Peter J. Tobin College of Business where she recently completed her undergraduate degree in accounting in May 2016, and had just begun graduate work toward her Masters degree in taxation”.

Police are still investigating the death of 17-year-old Tyreke Borel, who was also fatally shot at the festival.
The 22-year-old was shot to death early Monday morning in Brooklyn by a gunman arrested hours later after he was found drunk behind the wheel of a vehicle with a missing tire and a broken axle, police said.
She told him “get off me” before a shot was sacked, according to the New York Post.
Regenald Moise allegedly shot Poyau, 22, in the face at point blank range around 5 a.m. on Monday.
“This young lady is just a stellar person”, said Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce. “No issues in her life whatsoever, and none before either”.
The suspect in her shooting, identified as Reginald Moise, 20, was taken into custody after being found drunkenly driving with a flag wrapped around a bloodied hand, officials say. “I didn’t know the gun was loaded”, sources said.
“My handsome, amazing, sweet, intelligent and wonderful niece Tiarah Poyau was taken away way too early”, wrote the victim’s aunt Tara on the GoFundMe page. Moise, who has five priors, was later nabbed Tuesday morning. After shooting Payou, he fled to his girlfriend’s apartment in Crown Heights where he asked to hide the gun. One bullet entered a neighbors house and the neighbor alerted authorities.

Police said the weapon used to shoot Ms Poyau was found at the apartment of Boise’s girlfriend. He’s facing charges for murder, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment for the shooting.
