Ford trucks pick up sponsorship with NFL

Ford Motor Co. has entered into a three-year partnership with the National Football League which includes the F-Series pickup truck becoming the official truck of the NFL.

“This partnership a natural fit”, says Renie Anderson, NFL senior vice president, sponsorship and partnership management.

The NFL now has other vehicles on its sponsoring books, including Ford’s Lincoln brand and Hyundai. Of course, football fans can skip the Uber deal altogether and just enter the Toughest Ticket sweepstakes, which features a grand prize of Super Bowl tickets and a 2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty truck that will be personalized to represent the contest winner’s favorite NFL team.

“America’s truck leader is teaming up with organizers of the nation’s favorite sport to put the spotlight on fans and players who show toughness, smarts and determination on and off the field, and who deserve to be recognized for that”, says Mark LaNeve, Ford Motor Company vice president, US marketing, sales and service.

I might rely on Ford Motor Company to brighten my Sunday afternoons with the Built Ford Tough Tailgate Tour. Other NFL cities later in the season will have access to game-day Built Ford Tough Tailgate Trucks On Demand, plus tickets for two. Once per week, Ford will give a weekly award to the best offensive lineman from the previous week.

Additionally, the vehicle manufacturing company will also include highlighting an NFL team’s signature offensive line every week during football season.

The Built Ford Tough Offensive Line of the Week – the league’s offensive line that best exhibits toughness, smarts and capability in prior week’s game -will be announced every Tuesday afternoon on NFL.com/Ford.
