Bill Cosby plays the race card
Bill Cosby’s lawyer said in a statement Tuesday that his client is being victimized by “racial bias and prejudice” in his ongoing sexual assault case, ABC News reports.

Cosby’s legal team yesterday will not include Monique Pressley, a Washington-based attorney who had become the public face of his defense through frequent appearances in the media on his behalf.
At a pretrial conference, Judge Steven T. O’Neill said he would consider the request at a future hearing.
NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) They were models and aspiring actresses.
Prosecutors said on Tuesday they intend to call more than a dozen accusers as witnesses against comedian Bill Cosby at his sexual assault trial.
Temple Employee, says she visited Cosby to ask for career advice after meeting him while he was on the Temple Board of Trustees. The women in these incidents are expected to testify during the criminal trial proceedings.
Cosby, 79, is charged with drugging and molesting a woman he mentored at Temple University in 2004.
“It’s all pieces that we have in this case”, Steele said, adding that all 13 women had agreed to testify at trial. This is the only case pending in criminal court, although over 50 women have accused him of sexual assault.
Defense lawyer Angela Agrusa told reporters after the hearing that the accusers have been “paraded” before the press by lawyer Gloria Allred and others, without their accounts of abuse being investigated.
Cosby spokesman Andrew Wyatt has meanwhile issued a statement blaming lawyers for the women for ‘the trampling of Mr. Cosby’s civil rights’. The accuser’s mother responded, “no, I have a parrot”. Ms. Allred is an extremely high-profile civil attorney; she often represents victims of social injustice, and she happens to be representing some of Bill Cosby’s alleged victims. This is not an issue of racial bias.
Prosecutors want to call 13 of the embattled comedian’s other alleged victims to give evidence during the trial.
Prosecutor Kevin Steele argued that Cosby can be heard on the tape saying he believes he’s being recorded, and that he also stated in a deposition related to an earlier case that he knew he was being recorded.
The defense also hopes to suppress a secretly recorded 2005 phone call Cosby had with Gianna Constand, when he described his sexual encounter with her daughter. “And I’m apologizing because I’m thinking this is a dirty old man with a young girl”.
