Clinton’s Response To GOP Chairman’s ‘No Smile’ Comment Is Perfect

“But I had to learn as a young woman to control my emotions”, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton tells Humans of NY.

Specifically, she talked about what it was like to take the law school admissions test at Harvard and some of the backlash she received for being a woman.

“I think there will be a lot of PhD theses and popular journalism writing on that subject for years to come”, she said.

In the face of these virulent insults, Clinton said she kept quiet – she didn’t want to let them get to her and have it affect her performance on the test. But I had to learn as a young woman to control my emotions. “And that’s a hard path to walk”, Clinton said.

“Humans of New York” is a photography project that takes pictures of (usually) average New Yorkers and includes stories of their lives.

Shortly after Clinton’s appearance at the NBC News Commander-in-Chief Forum on Wednesday night, Priebus took to Twitter to insult the Democratic nominee’s demeanor. “I don’t view myself as cold or unemotional”, she continued.

After Hillary Clinton broke a 278-day drought of not holding a formal press conference, a reporter chose Thursday to ask her if she is treated differently in the presidential race because of her gender.

Hillary Clinton just made it abundantly clear that she is not interested in any advice the Republican National Committee, or its chairman, Reince Priebus, has to offer. Priebus said that Clinton didn’t smile enough during the forum.

EMILY’s List, a super PAC focused on getting women who support abortion rights elected that backs Clinton, blasted Priebus’ remark.

She also criticized Republican nominee Donald Trump for praising Russian President Vladimir Putin.
