Here is a run down of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing celebs, as they’re announced…
In fact there was so much excitement about the news that Carol Kirkwood was trending – we think Cazza could be a viewer favourite already!
Former Coronation Street actress Georgia May Foote was the fourth famous face to be unveiled, revealing her identity on BBC Breakfast with presenters Charlie Stayt and Sally Nugent.
Carol got a glitter ball this morning!
Dressed in top hat and tails, presenter Bill Turnbull made the announcement live on BBC Breakfast as Carol appeared from behind a bank of red and white umbrellas and welcomed her down the red carpet. The 24-year-old – who played Katy Armstorng in the long-running soap, before her departure in March – said: “I am so excited to be part of Strictly 2015!”
Carol said she didn’t “stand a chance” with stamina, but the BBC Breakfast team were rooting for her.
In addition to her role on BBC Breakfast, the award-winning weather presenter has fronted The Weather Show for the BBC News, been a co-presenter of BBC One’s The Great British Weather and provided reports for The One Show. Carol has appeared as part of the Newsreader’s Rocky Horror Show routine and even did a duet with ex-Strictly Champion Chris Hollins performing Baby, Its Cold Outside during the Appeal show back in 2007.
Carol is new to the world of Latin and ballroom but she has performed on TV before.
Six celebrities have now been confirmed for the new series of Strictly – Jeremy Vine, Ainsley Harriott, Kellie Bright, Georgia May Foote, Katie Derham and Kirkwood – with further names to be announced in due course.

Vicky Gill, the current Strictly Come Dancing costume designer, said: “The Abbey is a truly wonderful setting to house the 2014 collection of “Strictly” dresses and I hope the visitors will revel in seeing the dresses up close in the exhibition”.
