Trump Hosted Fundraiser for Florida AG After She Dropped Trump U Investigation
Initially, Bondi declined to comment on the story, according to several news organizations, but on September 6, the Florida attorney general appeared on Fox Business to deny allegations that she’d improperly solicited donations from Trump.

Donald Trump is facing new legal battles as details emerge about the Trump Foundation’s ,000 donation to Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi (R).
The donation’s dubious legality was obscured for years because of an accounting error at the Trump Organization, which reported to the IRS that it had given $25,000 to a Kansas anti-abortion group called Justice for All.
Bondi was among several attorneys general in different states weighing allegations against the now-defunct for-profit Trump University – which promised to teach students courses in real estate and entrepreneurship – after former students said the program didn’t deliver what was promised by instructors and marketing materials. The end of that story also included an excuse about Bondi trying to give the contribution back to Trump, who didn’t accept the return. Both the New York Times and the Miami Herald editorial pages are calling for a deeper investigation into the controversy.
The IRS fined the Trump Foundation $2,500 for the illegal donation, and Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, an ethics watchdog group, reiterated its call Wednesday for the tax agency to investigate further.
Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi was recently called out for her hypocrisy on LGBT issues after the Orlando nightclub shooting, but another scandal has been brewing for years. “Yes, it is. And now, at last, the Internal Revenue Service has agreed by levying a fine on the foundation for violating the rules that bar political donations by the charities”.
Donald Trump held a rally in Virginia Tuesday – a state with a large military population – where he lamented casualties in the War on Terror and seemed to suggest the public is being deceived about civilian losses.
– There was never any recommendation by the staff to investigate or sue Trump University in 2013, and consequently, the matter never rose to the attorney general’s level for any decision of any kind.
Democratic groups supporting Clinton have been blasting out stories about Trump and Bondi and a New York Times review of Trump’s previous campaign violations.
“I’ve just known Pam Bondi for years”. Following the donation, the office did not open an investigation. Bondi solicited the donation as her office debated whether to join a lawsuit against Trump University.
Hillary Clinton, who has been under fire over questions of whether donors to her family’s foundation were given special access, blasted Trump during a talk with reporters Tuesday.
“When they call, I give”, Trump said.
Gerber, 55, served in the Florida Legislature from 2000-2010, before losing the race for attorney general to Bondi by 13 percentage points in 2010.

“Many of the attorney generals turned that case down because I’ll win that case in court”, he said while campaigning in Ohio. The ties between Bondi and Trump deepen, as his foundation gave a pro-Bondi PAC an additional $25,000.
