Apple drops iPad prices while bumping up the storage

Yesterday saw a media event where Apple showed the world it’s most advanced iPhones ever made, unveiled the Apple Watch Series 2 and also told consumers when to expect the rollout of iOS 10 and macOS Sierra among other announcements. However, he did not mention if one of them is the 7.9-inch screen iPad Mini 5.

This is no longer a surprise for Ming Chi-Kuo, a well-known and highly-respected analyst.

The iPad Pro still has plenty of options, as it comes in two different display sizes and with or without LTE. iPad Pro models start at 32GB of storage and can be purchased with up to 256GB of storage.

That’s why we’re just now learning that the iPad lineup received a minor refresh of its own, increasing the storage options to line up with those of the iPhone 7.

This is an unfortunate news for users who are comfortable with the compactness and convenience of the iPad Mini. The WiFi-only models of iPad Air 2 and the iPad mini 4 now cost $399 for 32GB or $499 for 128GB, but those are your only storage options.

These three variations will also be powered with different processors. While the 12.9-inch is now $799/$899/$999 for the 32/128/256GB models as well.

In the meantime, here is an overview of the rumored specs for the upcoming iPhone 7, which are supposed to be great because it has to go against the recently released Samsung Galaxy Note 7 on the smartphone market.
