Cody Allen allowed a single in the ninth but struck out George Springer, Alex Bregman and Jose Altuve in order to notch his 25th save of the season.

“I’m so happy I’ve got the first homer out of the way and I was able to drive home two runs with it”, Gurriel said through an interpreter. Guyer did as the Indians envisioned, ripping a two-run double to left-center field, extending the lead to 6-3. Lindor followed with an infield single that scored Almonte and Santana to make it 6-2.It became 6-3 on an RBI double by Springer in the fifth inning, but the Indians’ offense erupted again in the bottom of the inning. Lindor finished with a three-hit game, his 23rd of the season, which is the most by an Indians hitter since 1936. Josh Tomlin, removed from the rotation last week, will also be available.
