Shaq Attacks Colin Kaepernick’s Protest

After a week of speculation that quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s police-brutality protests might spur a boycott by Santa Clara police officers working gameday security at Levi’s Stadium, officials said they expect “business as usual” at the San Francisco 49ers’ season opener Monday. She is Muslim, her family is Muslim, I have great respect for them. “He said that those rumors “(come) along with people’s fear” of his decision not to stand for the national anthem, and the largely Donald Trump-driven trend of Islamophobia. The rumor came from news outlets reporting that Kaepernick was dating a Muslim girl – a fact he does not dispute.

Kaepernick shot down rumors that he had converted to the religion of his girlfriend, Islam, and that his girlfriend had led him to protest social injustices.

“When I was fortunate enough to address the team early on, it was just a focus of, ‘As the New York Giants and as a flagship organization in the National Football League, we are going to do things with class, and that is what our organization personifies'”.

“I think it’s important to have respect for our country, for our flag, for the people who make our country better; for law enforcement; and for our military who are out fighting for our freedoms and our ideals”. “I wish people would as outraged about the murders that are happening in the street as they are the protest”. So I applaud him for taking a stand and hopefully the conversation is about what his message was and not “is he going to stand or is he going to sit for the national anthem” or whoever it is.
