Following the discovery on Thursday, the workers notified judicial police in Marseilles, who have since launched an investigation.

Jean-Denis Malgras, the local Coca-Cola head, described the find as a “very unpleasant surprise”. Details revealed that the shipment had arrived at the plant on August 26, from Costa Rica.
