Tuesday evening, as the Clinton plane was returning to NY from Florida, the traveling press corps tried its luck at engaging Clinton one more time with a campaign tradition: Rolling an orange with a question written on it down the aisle to the front of the plane. “He’s temperamentally unfit to be commander in chief”, Clinton said of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. She said her own experience on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and as Secretary of State makes her a more credible choice.

Transferring money from the rich to give to the poor-is how former President Bill Clinton characterized his family’s Clinton Foundation from numerous criticisms. “As opposed to letting it all happen on his timeframe and his playing field”. She also talked about the importance of affordable health care, getting the cost of prescription drugs down, and boosting mental health and addiction services. But the businessman also publicly and frequently berates the press, going after reporters (sometimes naming individuals) in stump speeches and even barring some news outlets from his campaign events.

Both times she came prepared with a message: On Labor Day, for example, she seized upon a fresh Washington Post report outlining concerns among USA intelligence officials about the possibility of Russian interference in the November election.

He was later asked about Trump’s comments at the forum that Russian president Vladimir Putin was a better leader than President Barack Obama.

“Every Republican holding or seeking office in this country should be asked if they agree with Donald Trump about these statements”, Clinton said in a news conference.

Asked about a coughing fit in Cleveland, Clinton said she suffered from seasonal allergies and had increased her dosage of antihistamines.

On Tuesday night, as Clinton traveled from Florida to suburban NY, reporters tried to invite her into another pastime of the campaign plane: rolling an orange down the aisle with a question written on it.

But minutes later, Merrill informed the traveling press corps that Clinton was not responsible for marking the answer – it was actually Merrill who had circled the orange, and Clinton never indicated her preferred dinner partner.

Clinton stepped into the back cabin for brief, informal gaggles with reporters twice this week, but Thursday marked her first proper press conference in about 10 months.

But the answer wasn’t so simple.

McPherson says she likes Clinton.
