Calvin Harris opens up about split from Taylor Swift

Awkwardly, that same month photos emerged of Swift and British actor Tom Hiddleston kissing during a summer holiday in Rhode Island.

The Late Show host explained that he felt very much a part of the Hiddleswift relationship due to their constant presence in the press.

At first Harris allowed her to write the lyrics, but later he was displeased with his decision after they broke up.

It’s no “Teardrops On My Guitar”, but it’s a stirring musical eulogy nonetheless.

Some of these include tweets about his hit with Rihanna “This is What You Came Here For”, and a tweet about Swift’s frenemy, Katy Perry.

Calvin now considered his Twitter takedown as “completely the wrong instinct”.

Harris, 32, explained that he and Swift, 26, were “very careful” to keep their romance personal: “She respected my feelings in that sense”. He finally realized that what he posted of Twitter was only a result of how he succumbed to the pressure.

“The aftermath of the relationship was way more heavily publicised than the relationship itself”, he said. “I’m a positive guy”, Harris said.

Harris got upset because his career was being overshadowed by his relationship with Swift, “I was protecting my one talent from being belittled”.

Harris also said he and Swift ended things because their relationship turned out to be “the wrong situation”.

In the new issue of British GQ, Harris, the October cover star, opens up about his former relationship and the moment things soured with Swift.

“It clearly wasn’t right, so it ended, but all the stuff that happened afterwards …” Others say Tom wanted Taylor to come to the Emmys with him but she refused.

Calvin appears to have since moved on from the Taylor drama after he was photographed walking arm-in-arm with Mexican actress/singer Eiza Gonzalez in Los Angeles on Saturday night (03Sep16).
