Trump Trashes Generals, Touts Putin’s Polls at Last Night’s NBC Presidential Forum
Everything is a game. Only 37% of North Carolina voters said they have a favorable opinion of Clinton, while a majority – 55% – said they have an unfavorable opinion.

NBC’s commander in chief presidential forum suggest the result in November has the potential to set the USA and the world on an uncharted course come January.
On Wednesday night, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump faced off in back-to-back interviews with NBC News’ Matt Lauer in NY.
In perhaps the most stunning sequence of the forum, Trump argued that Russian President Vladimir Putin – a strongman accused by human rights groups of presiding over domestic repression, war crimes in Syria and violations of global law in Europe – was a better leader than Obama.
“He’s been a leader, far more than our president has been a leader”, Trump said.
“I think what he said was totally inappropriate and undisciplined”, Clinton told reporters in a rare press conference before boarding her campaign plane in White Plains, New York. “I’ve already said he is really very much of a leader”.
Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway met with Trump supporters in Congress on Thursday morning, and Trump spoke with the group by phone to thank them for their support. “Donald Trump chose to talk about his admiration for [Russian President] Vladimir Putin”. Now, that is not just unpatriotic and insulting for the people of our country as well as to our commander in chief, it is scary. “Because it suggests he will let Putin do whatever Putin wants to do and then make excuses for him”.
Clinton made the claim on Israel’s Channel 2, saying Trump had been “giving aid and comfort to their evil ambitions”.
“I think I’ll know when I get there”, said the woman, who would give only her first name, Evie, and her age, 67. “She tried to make up for her disgusting performance last night so she went on the tarmac and told more lies”.
Lauer repeatedly questioned Clinton for her lack of transparency regarding her use of a personal email account while she was secretary of state, but allowed to Trump to say he was against the Iraq War, which is a lie he repeats seemingly every chance he gets. That assertion is contradicted by an interview Trump did with Howard Stern in September 2002 in which he was asked whether he supported the invasion.
Other commenters also said Lauer went easier on Trump.
“What did these geniuses expect when they put men & women together?”
Mrs Clinton’s remarks followed a Wednesday night national security forum where the presidential candidates made back-to-back appearances.
“But, I’m also not going to be bullied or intimidated by the kind of rhetoric and demagoguery coming from the Trump campaign”, she said.

“I happened to hear Hillary Clinton say that I was not against the war in Iraq”. Clinton herself is less popular than Trump, with just 37 percent approving of her and 55 percent disapproving, compared to 41 percent of Trump and 49 percent who disapprove. As many outlets, including Mother Jones, have reported, Trump did in fact support the Iraq war.
