Apple Inc. doesn’t plan to disclose first-weekend sales of the iPhone 7, in a departure from its past practice.

According to Pathak, like other countries where Apple has gone into strategic partnerships (recent ones being SAP and Cisco), it should look for similar partnerships in India too.
Prices for other Apple products in the United Kingdom, including Mac computers, iPads and accessories, are also rising.
Apple has chose to remove the headphone jack from the new model, opting instead for wireless earpieces called Airpods – with these little contraptions retailing for about $200. Chinese brands Huawei and Oppo are also emerging as competitors.
“I don’t want it”, said one iPhone 7 comment on the social-media site Weibo.

IPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be available in silver, gold, rose gold and the new black finish in 32GB, 128GB and 256GB models starting at United States dollars 649 (US).
The Chinese enthusiasts may be Apple’s best bet for a sales recovery. While EarPods refers to earphones, the AirPods are the true wireless earphones.

“I predict Watch sales will improve dramatically”, said Tech analyst Patrick Moorhead. AirPods pair seamlessly with iPhones and other Apple devices, but on non-Apple devices, you’d just have to do manual pairing.

Rob O’Murphy, assistant category manager for headphones at Currys PC World, said: “We’ve noticed wireless headphones have been becoming more and more popular over the a year ago, especially with our customers in Dixons Travel, but following last night’s announcements we are expecting a particular spike in sales and will be looking to fill demand accordingly”. And it might make some wonder whether there really was more to Apple’s acquisition that a streaming-music service.

As well as being the first waterproof iPhone, the iPhone 7 is also the first with stereo speakers. In India, however, it faces a hurdle: a base price of about $900-some $250 more than the US price before sales tax-partly because of higher distribution costs and built-in taxes.
