Carlos Hyde (concussion) cleared for football activity

The San Francisco 49ers released their first practice participation report of the 2016 season, and it includes great news about running back Carlos Hyde.

Fantasy football wise, Hyde could move into RB1 status, but is absolutely a solid RB2 against the Los Angeles Rams in a Monday Night Football match-up. Kelly said before Thursday’s practice that he expects both teams to lean heavily on their running backs, with the Rams’ Todd Gurley likely a prominent part of their plan.

Shaun Draughn, now listed as the 49ers second string running back on the team’s unofficial depth chart, is also on the road to recovery after sustaining a rib injury in practice a couple weeks ago, and sitting out most of the preseason. Davis worked on a side field with a trainer during the media’s 30-minute access window. Davis is the team’s top nickel cornerback.

Cornerback Keith Reaser was doing individual conditioning with a trainer for a second straight day, and his injury is undisclosed.

In the meantime, here’s the full injury report.

– Defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey is “on track” to play in Monday’s opener, Kelly said. He practiced Wednesday, however, and was scheduled to have a day off as he rehabilitates from his November 22 ACL tear.
