Kanye’s fashion show gets blistering reviews
Kanye’s sister-in-law, Kylie Jenner, was in attendance with her rapper boyfriend Tyga (whom West just signed to his label) and offered an explanation for one of the models’ shaky walk.

Despite these purist intentions, initial reports about the show, which took place in Four Freedoms Park on Roosevelt Island, sounded more Zoolander than utilitarian.
All this, plus a bevy of fashion editors annoyed that they had to take a bus out to an island, pretty much what we’d expect from Yeezy Season 4.
However, the show, which was streamed online on Jay Z’s Tidal service, got off to a rough start after it was delayed by over an hour.
The unveiling of Kanye West’s latest fashion collection was more like a catwalk on a hot tin roof in New York City Wednesday as models in heavy winter gear couldn’t stand the devastating temperatures. Matthew Schneeier, the New York Times Styles reporter, described the scenario as a “middle school field trip”. “The only mystery? The surprising lack of sneakers, considering they are Yeezy’s bread-and-butter”.
Stella Bugbee, Editorial Director at NY magazine The Cut, live tweeted her frustrations throughout the event. “Honestly Adidas should be ashamed”. She completed her chic look with a pair of Cinderella-inspired heels and an oversized zip-up. West said: “I want to do 200 stores in the next year, but that’s just me saying what I want”. He said his garments were “apparel”, not fashion, with a purposefully limited colour palette to give them a timeless appeal.
Teyana Taylor was also part of the show, stunning in a black cut-out top and matching shorts whilst Kanye ended the show by walking down the runway to wave to his guests.
