Apple sees timing apt to debut new fitness Watch
According to IDC this week, Apple watch sales dipped nearly 60 percent in the second quarter of 2016, compared to the previous year.

The new Apple Watch – a “swim proof” wearable with a built-in Global Positioning System, brighter display and “Pokemon Go” – seems to be aiming for the fitness crowd. And now, its successor the Apple Watch 2 has finally debuted. Users will be able to send a quick text with a double tap, and the new watch can also display cute full-screen effects, such as falling confetti, and offers a safer, “heads-up” way to play Pokemon Go.
Apple has just unveiled its next-gen smartwatch named as the Apple Watch Series 2. with it, its new WatchOS 3 is the one which made the new smartwatch a reality, enabling faster computing speeds and a more intuitive user interface and interaction. However, there has been no such up gradation in the battery life of the new Apple W Series 2.
Despite the new and improved Apple Watch Series 2 fitness features, those with slimmer wallets and fewer needs may still opt for a more simple fitness tracker, especially now that cheaper activity monitors can deliver text, call and calendar notifications.
“Apple is responding to what has resonated with customers”, said analyst Jan Dawson of Jackdaw Research. Users can begin an outdoor workout immediately as Apple Watch Series 2 uses Wi-Fi, GPS and locally stored satellite data to quickly identify their location. Apple Watch Series 2 can count laps, track average lap pace and auto-detect stroke type to accurately measure active calorie burn.
Still, I think Apple got this first big update of the Apple Watch mostly right by upgrading the inner workings and tweaking the design and form factor.

The company also has the Apple Watch Hermès, which will be available on September 23. It has a high-gloss finish like everything but the Apple Watch Sport, so it picks up your fingerprints and other sebaceous matter fairly easily and shows it quite obviously, but the white ceramic color does make it harder to see this sort of thing. For $269, the older model will lack numerous features in the new Series 2, but will still come with the Series 2’s faster processor. The company also confirmed that its pre-order start date will on September 9 alongside iPhone 7.
