The dealers of Honda in Delhi have opened the bookings for the soon-to-be-launched Accord for a down-payment of Rs. 51,000, reports Zigwheels.
The European 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback will be presented at the French show alongside the Civic Sedan and the new Jazz Spotlight Edition.
When launched in India, it will be pitted against the likes of the Toyota Camry Hybrid, Skoda Superb, and the upcoming Volkswagen Passat GTE. The petrol motor is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder unit that will churns out 138hp of power while the hybrid variant may get an additional 1.3kw lithium-ion battery that will produce added 212hp of power over the petrol engine. It features taillight clusters with LED tech and tweaked rear bumper.
In all likeliness, the new Accord will arrive on Indian shores in its hybrid avatar. Transmission options will likely include a six-speed manual and CVT. It is capable of a maximum output of 215 hp and a fuel economy of 23.8 km/L (not ARAI-certified) with carbon emissions of only 99 gram/km.
