Apple Music Pushes Down Tidal, Spotify, Pandora By Offering Free Streaming
Have you tried Apple Music or do you prefer a different streaming service?

Rumor has it that Spotify’s free music streaming service is about to undergo a radical overhaul – and unfortunately, it’s not the kind of overhaul you’ll like.
There are two types of accounts you can sign up to as a listener – standard (free) and premium ($10 per month).
The three new ads are simply and nicely done, in an oh-yes-I’ve-seen-this-before way. Curation seems to be the next big thing that everybody is trumpeting; in fact, it’s what Apple Music has heavily touted as its core competency and the reason they deserve your money over everyone else. This ad is more of a broad spectrum sort of ad where Trent Reznor narrates and highlights how easy music discovery is with Apple Music.
“We take a localised approach to music suggestions, tapping into the culture of every market to make sure we’re surfacing the most relevant music for our members regardless of where they live”. A source close to Digital Music News described one scenario where free users would only have access to one or two songs from a high-profile album release, whereas paying subscribers could listen to the entire album without restrictions. The tag line? “All the artists you love and are about to love”. Yes, Taylor Swift will now be sending you heartfelt messages. The ads feature artists such as Kygo, James Bay, amongst a variety of others. Even if that figure is halved at $50M, Apple still stands to come off with a profit given that its expected product launch also this upcoming September. He also made headlines for making friends with some major label artists, including will.i.am, Kanye West and Alicia Keys, suggesting that the music service could eventually feature many well-known faces. Each of the 30-second long artist ads features Apple’s now trademark minimalist backdrop and are shot in black and white.
