The Commander-in-Chief Forum, held on Wednesday night aboard the USS Intrepid in New York City, was a chance for Donald Trump to show off his command of military and veterans’ affairs for an audience of former servicemembers. When he opened the floor to questions, reporters asked him about Donald Trump.

“And we would sit there and go OK – we understand”. How badly that was handled. And then, when President Obama took over, and likewise-it was a disaster.

Well, you-you just, you would leave a certain group behind. Isn’t pillaging the natural resources from a country you’ve invaded a war crime? . Why yes, yes it is. But don’t worry, Donald Trump is the president now; none of that matters. There was no victor. The self-proclaimed caliphate took vast stretches of oil-producing territory in Syria and especially Iraq in 2014, but ISIS has steadily lost territory this year to a broad array of enemies.
“We have got to take them on in the arena of ideas”, she said, adding that partnering with Muslims was essential for that.
Perhaps most freaky was Trump’s celebration of the resignation Luis Videgaray, Mexico’s finance minister, on Wednesday. It’s impossible to say for sure but-almost certainly, no. “So is the plan you’ve been hiding this whole time asking someone else for their plan?”, the presidential candidate was asked.
“But you have your own plan?” He replied: “No. But when I do come up with a plan that I like and that perhaps agrees with mine, or maybe doesn’t – I may love what the generals come back with”. But I want to be – I don’t want to – look. Marginalizing these Americans sows distrust of the government and law enforcement, and makes it more hard to identify and disrupt attacks. Sessions replied. “You can keep talking about it, but the American people are concerned about what we are going to do”.

The problem with that, of course, is that roughly five seconds ago Trump told us that he did not, in fact, have a plan.
