This is your iPhone 7 charging dongle future

Belkin has a solution and – you guessed it – it’s another adapter. Or use the 3.5mm to lightning adapter that comes with the iPhone to connect any standard headphones to the phone.

Following the launch of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, Belkin has introduced its Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar adaptor, which enables simultaneous charging and listening using Lighting Audio.

With the iPhone 7 release date taking place at retail on September 16th, that leaves Apple just eight days to figure out how to answer the question now being asked in unison by millions of potential buyers: “How in the heck you charge the thing while an audio cable is plugged in?”

As the product has been certified by the developer to meet Apple specifications, it will likely be sold in the tech giant’s flagship stores.

But, then again, you could always get third-party wireless headphones and embrace the future. This is more Apple’s limitation for the Lightning connector than it is Belkin’s fault. There’s just one problem: how do you change and listen to music with just one Lightning port on your phone? It’s also upset a lot of people, whose often high-priced cabled headphones now need an adapter to plug into the Lightning socket of the iPhone 7, should they buy one.

The newly announced iPhone 7 doesn’t have a headphone jack, which has annoyed many fans of iDevices.

The removal of the 3.5mm audio jack on the new iPhones is still sinking in, but this has opened the gateway to accessory makers and alike.

I understand that technology has to move forward at times, but that doesn’t mean I have to like that my new iPhone 7 Plus won’t have a headphone jack like all of my other phones.
