Exploding batteries lead to Galaxy Note 7 recall
Reports have sprung up about exploding Note 7 devices in a few occasions, causing concern from Samsung. If Samsung isn’t able to get the Note 7 back on shelves quickly, it could lose a lot of sales to Apple’s new iPhone.

Owners have been posting photos and videos (below) of Note 7s that have caught fire, many of them partially melted by the intensity of the flames.
“There was a tiny problem in the manufacturing process, so it was very hard to figure out”, he told reporters.
Koh, who declined to comment on the number of phones needing replacement, said Samsung had sold 2.5 million of the premium devices so far.
Samsung issued a brief statement saying that a “thorough investigation” into the fires had revealed that faulty batteries were responsible.
Around the world, customers have reported 35 incidents with the phone’s battery since the phone shipped in late August. Consumers who complained publicly said the problem came while the phone was being charged. That fee is usually $35.
If you haven’t gotten an email, text, or alert yet on your brand-new Galaxy Note 7 about a recall, you should pay attention. Consumer Reports found that the phone didn’t live up to its water-resistance promises.
“Samsung has identified the affected inventory and stopped sales and shipments of those devices”, the company said in a statement. “Samsung did not say when the Note 7 will be available for general purchase”, The Verge reported on Saturday.
He refused to name the battery supplier.

“There was a tiny problem in the manufacturing process, so it was very hard to figure out”, Koh told reporters at a news conference. It’s also unknown if devices in certain countries are more likely to be affected than others. Moreover, the difference between Note 7 and Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge would also be paid to the user, apart from $25 complimentary store credit as compensation for their troubles. Samsung revealed that just one in 42,000 units is at risk of fire, but the recall is for caution and well-being of the customers.
