Once Jenny from The Block, Jennifer Lopez will soon evolve into Jenny from The Strip, and the “Booty” singer told Billboard in a story published today (August 17) that she can’t wait to get her upcoming Las Vegas residency underway.

“I think I’ve been preparing for this my whole life”, the mum of two told Entertainment Tonight.
The star revealed that the breath taking show will entail “all of the different things I have done musically, and performing on stage and award shows, and touring”. The aim is to hold an event “in one place where people from all over the world” could attend and “who wouldn’t normally come to a tour”, the news outlet added.
Lopez said the show will feature funk and hip-hop with a live band. “I’m excited about going to Vegas [and] doing the kind of quintessential show that I’ve always had in my mind”, Jennifer exclaimed to ET.
“It’s just an opportunity that is overwhelming and at the same time the most exciting thing that has happened to me in a long time, so I’m giving it all I have”, she noted.
“It’s gonna have everything that I’ve been known to do over the years, and it’s gonna be a lovely, glamorous kind of Vegas show”, she said.
“[I want] the buzz to be, you know what?”
Jennifer Lopez’s residency will start on 20 January in Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino’s Axis Theater.
So You Think You Can Dance executive producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe said he is “thrilled” that the winning dancer will have the opportunity to join Lopez’s “exciting new Las Vegas residency as an addition to our prize package this season”.
