Despite the embarrassing 3-0 Test series loss, Australia can claim both the five-match one-day series and two-game T20 series with a win on Friday night. Maxwell scored an unbeaten 145 in 65 balls on Tuesday, hitting the Sri Lankan bowlers for 14 fours and nine sixes.

It’s not the first time a bowler has been in hot water during Australia’s tour of Sri Lanka for getting in the face of Warner.

Tillakaratne Dilshan is set to make his last appearance for Sri Lanka in the last T20 match against Australia.

Despite the margin though, Australia still conceded 178 runs, with all-rounders Moises Henriques and James Faulkner going at 12 and 9.5 per over respectively with their seemers.

The home side, now No. 8 in the International Cricket Council T20I rankings (Australia is two spots higher), might consider making changes in the bowling department.

The hosts left out seamer Kasun Rajitha from the XI that was defeated by 85 runs on Wednesday, with legspinning allrounder Seekkuge Prasanna taking his place.
