In a much anticipated launch event this morning, tech giant Apple has revealed its latest iPhone offering, with the seventh edition of the device to be available for pre-order this Friday.
The latest iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus have the longest battery life ever in an iPhone. Over the course of a single day I’ve seen several stories about the iPhone 7 specifically say that Apple had eliminated wired headphones. Recently benchmarks have surfaced for the iPhone 7 Plus and it looks like one of the rumored features has been confirmed, which is that the iPhone 7 Plus comes with 3GB of RAM. Apple has provided no indication that it will stop announcing iPhone sales numbers with its quarterly earnings report.
Both the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus run on Apple’s new A10 Fusion chip, which makes the iPhone 7 two times faster than the iPhone 6. You have to pay the premium price for the 128GB iPhone 7.
Apple kept the pricing of the iPhone 6S for the iPhone 7. The new headphones are completely wireless, using Bluetooth technology to connect with the new iPhone.
Camera capabilities are one of the most beloved features for many smartphone customers.
iPhone 7 Plus starts at $769 for the 32GB model. The handset offers up to 5x digital zoom. Perhaps the iPhone’s new speakers have a similar function, although so far Apple hasn’t confirmed that. This will achieve “amazing portraits once possible only with DSLR camera”. The camera aboard the iPhone 7 features a new 6-element lens with a wide f/1.8 aperture to allow in more light; it has a 12MP sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a quad-LED TrueTone flash with built-in flicker sensor (to compensate for artificial light), and a brand new image signal processor (ISP).

However, Apple has warned customers the new iPhone is not entirely waterproof, having an IP rating of just 67. The Watch’s operating system is getting revamped also, and it will be available from $399.
