The long list of Trump comments on Iraq seemingly begins on September 11, 2002, just weeks before the invasion vote, when Trump was asked by radio host Howard Stern whether he supported going into Iraq.
Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks said the practice would end tomorrow.
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Thursday unveiled a new $20 billion initiative to enable children from poor families to choose which school they will attend.
And, as The Washington Post’s Callum Borchers points out, the decision also comes as Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton “appears to be making an effort to engage reporters more often”, after criticism of her own campaign’s limited access for journalists, such as not holding a press conference for over 270 days.
Various fact-checkers have cited this interview to debunk Trump’s statement that he was always against the war. “The Iraq War began in March 2003, more than a year before this story ran, thus nullifying Trump’s timeline”, Esquire wrote.
Hillary Clinton has said she believes charter schools should supplement but not replace public schools by developing and discovering teaching methods that work.
Trump will also discuss plans to develop a new missile defense system.
“Throughout it all, she put the country, and I mean the entire country, at risk in order to cover up her pay for play scandals as secretary of state”, Trump alleged. “It’s time to break up that monopoly”, Mr. Trump said.
He’ll say he wants an active Army of around 540,000, a Marine Corps based on 36 battalions, a Navy approaching 350 ships and submarines, and an Air Force of at least 1,200 fighter planes.
The plan would “decimate public schools across America and deprive our most vulnerable students of the education they would deserve”, Clinton adviser Maya Harris said in a statement.
The stop here marked Trump’s latest attempt to reach out to African-Americans, as polls show Clinton holding a wide lead among black and other minority voters.

“It was the first time anybody ever asked me about Iraq and I said, ‘Well, I don’t know, ‘” Trump said Thursday, adding those comments were “superseded” by his late comments against the war.
