Some of those Republicans will join Clinton Friday for what she dubbed a “working session” on the threat of terrorism.
Clinton said Republicans holding or seeking office across the country should be pressed on whether they agree with Trump’s comments, including his views on Putin and U.S. generals that surfaced during the forum. In a subsequent interview on “The View”, he said: “For those that believe this is a disqualifier, so be it”. “If I were just a concerned citizen, I’d be out here doing everything I could to sound the alarm about someone like Donald Trump getting anywhere near the White House, and I will continue to do that”, she said.
The Republican also renewed his praise for Mr Putin and his disdain for Mr Obama, saying that the Russian enjoyed an 82 per cent approval rating.
The Trump camp did not say how much of its $90 million August haul goes into the campaign’s coffers, and how much goes to the national party and the state parties linked to the joint fundraising arrangements.

And so, in a press conference that lasted less than 20 minutes, Clinton achieved exactly what she set out to do: End the criticisms that she had gone the entire year without a press conference, and move the narrative beyond Thursday night’s forum.
