Clinton said her mother’s belief in early childhood and public education funding and other issues that affect families “isn’t rhetoric”. I would hope you would support my mom.
Clinton emphasized the importance of this election to her personally, remarking, “This is the most important presidential election in my lifetime”.
“I don’t trust anyone more than my mom”, she said.
The Carlisle headquarters of the Democratic National Committee looks small from the outside; it feels even smaller inside packed with Clinton supporters. She’s expected to talk about how, if elected, her mother Hillary Clinton would defend and expand women’s rights.
A CNN poll released this week gives Donald Trump a two-point lead over Clinton. “I recognize that we still have tremendous work to do”. At age 17, she isn’t able to vote in November, so she’s contributing as a campaign volunteer.
“I believe this is the most important presidential election in my life time”, Clinton said, stating this is her first time voting in a presidential election as a mother. “I just think she’s a phenomenal human being”.
Johnna Purcell, the president of Penn State Students for Hillary and an organizing fellow for the Pennsylvania Democratic Party, volunteers more than 30 hours a week for the Clinton campaign.
Asked about the important of the Keystone State in this election, she said every vote matters; “That being said”, she added, “I think you’re going to see a lot of my family in Pennsylvania over the next 63 days”.
