Stranger Things follows the investigation into the disappearance of a small boy in a local town and the abnormal circumstances surrounding what has happened to him.
While the official announcement for Season 2 comes today, it had been widely expected for some time, with the Duffer brothers already talking openly about their plans for what comes next.
Stranger Things Season 1 is now streaming on Netflix. What did you think and what would you like to see in the second season?
Stranger Things hails from Matt and Ross Duffer.
Nicole is a freelance writer for IGN. These sound like possible episode titles to us, although it’s likely that the second season will have eight episodes, just like the first. As much as possible, we’re trying to approach it the same as season one, which is to write stuff that we’re excited about and we think is cool. Matt said that new episodes will venture a little bit outside the Hawkins, Indiana.
As yet there’s no confirmed release date for the new season, but it appears preparations have been underway for “quite some time” according to Variety’s sources. “We leave that up in the air”.
Before the renewal was announced, the Duffer brothers also spoke at the Television Critics Association press tour, telling reporters that there’s more to the story and they hope they get to tell it.
