Ever since Dallas Cowboys rookie quarterback Dak Prescott started dominating the National Football League preseason last month, there have been constant comparisons made to his play. But he will have a few more than most quarterbacks in general.

“He’s not scaring us”.
He’s statistically the best quarterback in the league since he debuted.
Five of the last six meetings have been decided by a single possession including both meetings a year ago in which the teams split (NYG 2-0 ATS). “But it’s not scary”.
The Cowboys are hesitant to put Romo on Injured reserve as they expect him to return early from his injury, so there he remains on the active roster until further notice.
The Giants do have some experience with this type of newcomer. “And then know what our expectations are on our quarterback being a rookie, I think that’s been tempered appropriately and hopefully he’ll come in and be above expectation”. He added 53 yards on seven carries and two scores on the ground. But the Giants forced him into two turnovers – a fumble and an interception – and pulled out a 27-24 victory.

“I remember going through it in 2012”. I think there’s a feeling that, well, how much more is Romo going to be able to go?
However, with Romo out, the Dallas offense is going to inevitably change to fit Prescott’s style of play. “If they are ahead of schedule and all he has to do is hand it off and play action passes, there isn’t anything we can do to confuse that”. However, New York’s offensive line and the running game has not yet lived to the full potential, and this is the aspect of the game Dallas should focus on. You start looking around at their offense and there’s not a lot of weaknesses, in my opinion. Now our greatest player ever is about to start for “America’s team” in the first game of his career. It’s only preseason, but if for some reason Murray doesn’t pan out, or deals with injury, remember the name DeAndre Washington.
And there’s likely to be more rookies on the horizon for the Giants, with Carson Wentz now the Opening Day starter in Philadelphia.
After only three plays for Tony Romo, defensive end Cliff Avril broke Romo’s back tackling him on a busted scrambling play.
“There’s no one valuable enough to take up the last spot to see how he does”, Dallas Cowboys owner and president Jerry Jones said.

In Prescott’s favor, the Cowboys have arguably the best offensive line in football, two of their best pass-catchers in Dez Bryant and ageless Giants-killer Jason Witten and a potentially potent running game of rookie Ezekiel Elliott, ex-Redskin Alfred Morris and, eventually, 1,000-yard rusher Darren McFadden.
