The sentence was reduced to three months because of good behavior. He is also banned from parks, schools and other places where children can gather, and must refrain from using drugs and alcohol.
“He will be treated no differently than any other sex offender we monitor”, Fischer said. He was sent off with a bundle of the mail.
“She got a life sentence of trauma and to see him get off after three months, I can’t imagine how devastating that is”, said Beth Hassett, CEO of Weave, a Sacramento County organization that helps victims of sexual assault.
The bill is awaiting the signature of Gov.
“The law has to be that if you rape someone who is unconscious and intoxicated you go to state prison”, she said.
While it should be noted numerous protestors were men, one held a sign that read “Castrate rapists” while another sign read “If I rape Brock will I only do 3 months?” Turner was sexually assaulting her when two graduate students passing by on bicycles confronted him, pinned him down as he tried to flee and called police.
Prosecutors also protested Turner’s sentence after they recommended he serve six years in state prison.

“Judge Persky’s bias is a threat to the rule of law and we will continue until he is no longer a judge”, Michelle Dauber, who is leading the charge to recall the judge, said at a protest.

Turner was released from jail on Friday after serving 92 days of his six-month sentence for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman in 2015. In the January 18, 2015 encounter, he was seen thrusting his hips atop an unconscious, partially clothed woman outside the Kappa Alpha fraternity. As well as the cuts and bruises he received when tackled by two witnesses who police say interrupted the attack.
Turner hired an expensive attorney and fought the case instead of conceding and apologising, the woman said in the statement, which has been read over 18 million times according to BuzzFeed.
“Because of his notoriety, Turner will have the whole community as his probation officer”, he said.
After the judgement, people had started a campaign for Persky’s removal.
