Skylanders Battlecast announced as themed card battler
Hope you’re not fed up with the Skylanders series yet, because Activision has revealed that the series is jumping into the card battling market with its upcoming title, Skylanders BattleCast.

Skylanders has sold more than 250 million action figures and generated $3 billion in toy and video game revenues since 2011, but the mobile versions of the franchise rarely show up in the top-grossing lists for mobile games. The game will also allow users to battle their friends as well as other players online.
Skylanders Battlecast will be a free-to-play app for Android mobiles and tablets, iPhone and iPad. Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg claims this is the company’s “biggest investment” for Skylanders on mobile. The studio promises additional information regarding Battlecast will be released leading up to its launch.
You’ll need to create your team and build the ultimate deck for battle, using strategic card combinations to become the Battlecast champion. When scanned the Skylander will magically come to life, with scanning two character cards resulting in an animate duel that players can interact with.
