Apple also has introduced a new set of ear buds, called AirPods, that connect wirelessly and will retail for $160.

Camera addicts have always had to step up to the Plus version of the iPhone to get the best camera tech, and that’s no different for 2016.
The removal of the standard headphone jack – something Apple was widely mocked for by chalking it up to “courage” – means everything on iPhone 7 goes through the lightning port.
Apple suffered its first-ever drop in iPhone sales this year, recording contractions in both March and June quarters. Some individuals are excited to try the wireless headphone feature of iPhone 7 while some are silently snickering thinking how easy it would be to lose the said wireless headphones.
It seems that Apple will eliminate the traditional 3.5 mm analog headphone jack on all of its new devices in favor of the Lightning connector, or their new proprietary wireless technology.
The new smartphones come with Apple seeking to reverse declines in sales of the iPhone in an increasingly saturated global market, and boost its Apple Watch.
The official release date for the new phones is September 16, but the Apple’s initial quotes of shipping two to three weeks after that date were soon pushed out to four to six weeks for some models, especially the new black and space black phones.
As long as we’re talking about headphones, let’s take a minute to mention Apple’s new wireless AirPods. It had its last big innovation about 50 years ago. Many people are not happy about it, because it’s going to make things just a little bit awkward for them. It hasn’t been touched since then.
Users have heavily criticized Apple’s decision to get rid of the headphone jack, but the company circumvented the issue by packaging the Lighting adapter for an additional $30. Apple SVP Phil Schiller was keen to point out just how old the stereo jack is as an input. “If we did, we’d never make any progress at all”.

And for that matter, the entry level model, the SE, which sells for $399, gives you all the cool stuff you’ll find on the iPhone 6S and 6 Plus, but at a lower price and a smaller 4-inch screen. To check out the full Buzzfeed interview of the trio of Apple executives, click on the link here.
