“Wild Hunt” will be getting its final piece of downloadable content (DLC) soon, as New Game Plus has officially landed on the Xbox One. Plus, considering that the DLC update will make all previously saved skills and certain objects playable, CD Projekt RED developers still included a twist.
According to Techno Buffalo, the new mode allows players to take a character, Geralt, from a completed save state – including levels, abilities, arms/weapons and armor – to play the game right from the start.
In this New Game Plus mode, however, the player’s trophies, the usable items, and the collected Gwent cards are not retained.
CD Projekt RED further adds that PC modders will be able to change the UI assets and script files wiithin “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” explaining that he majority of its gameplay mechanics are within the script.
The New Game Plus mode for The Witcher 3 can be obtained from the official Steam page. If you feel like you strolled through the game for the story before, this is your chance to turn up the difficulty, stock up on potions, memorise your signs, plan your attacks, and really feel the constant pressure of a monster hunter‘s daily “routine”.
“We are thinking about it but it’s a way more complex process to do this on consoles so we can’t give you any details now”, the studio said to GameSpot, when asked about console mod tools.
“The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
