Jerry Jones buys Dallas Cowboy-themed helicopter

Jones took suggestions from the media about what to name the helicopter but recoiled when “The JerryCopter” was thrown out.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones bought himself a Cowboys-themed helicopter because why not.

The sweet new ride can carry nine passengers and is swift enough to get Jones and his family from their home to the team’s practice facility in nine minutes and from Frisco to the team’s unbelievable stadium in just 13 minutes. He told ESPN the JerryCopter is “state-of-the-art”, “a tool we really want to use to be a part of the function of the franchise”.

Shooting animals on the open range from a helicopter – it doesn’t get much more Texas than that. “You can do a lot of things in this helicopter”, the eccentric National Football League owner told the media, according to Dallas News reporter Jon Machota.

“You can shoot out of it”.

The H145 base model starts at around $8.5 million, but Jones presumably dished out significantly more considering all the Cowboys specifications. You can shoot pigs out of it.

The white chopper features the Cowboys logo on the tail and has light gray leather seats and carpet inside. For Jerry Jones, he now has one to help him easily navigate the many different Cowboys facilities spread across the Metroplex.

Apparently, one of the big advantages of owning a helicopter is that you can shoot a lot of things while you’re in it.

Jones will no longer have to worry about Texas traffic, but the quarterback issue still remains.
