The two-hour debate wasn’t without some drama as the candidates battled it out on stage.

Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson was a distant second on Twitter and came in second to Trump on Facebook.

Among the 10 men appearing during Thursday night’s prime time event, Ohio Gov. John Kasich drew perhaps the loudest ovation as each candidate was introduced to the crowd inside Quicken Loans Arena.

The first Republican presidential debate is shaping up to be the most-watched primary debate in history. “And for people who want to just tune him out, they’re making a mistake”. Bush, who ranked second in a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll, placed seventh in Twitter mentions.

Probed on whether he could accept abortion to protect the health of the mother, the Wisconsin governor flatly denied that pregnancy can endanger a woman’s life: I believe that that is an unborn child that’s in need of protection out there, and I’ve said many a time that that unborn child can be protected, and there are many other alternatives that can also protect the life of that mother”. A record 17 candidates are vying for their party’s nomination.

(Paul) “Get a judge to sign the warrant”. “What other people are doing doesn’t necessarily impact our strategy”, he said.

Paul has supported curbs on the government’s ability to collect information on Americans, which Christie said could put U.S. citizens at risk.

“Let’s bring the party back together because ultimately, by them infighting the way they do, they’re giving the election to the Democrats”. Because he’s used to buying politicians.

“Try explaining that 2 ur kids”, the former View panel member wrote minutes after Trump’s diss.

“Wow, @megynkelly really bombed tonight”.

The tripling of that number by Thursday’s debates is being attributed to Donald Trump’s participation.

While political analysts have plenty to dissect from his answers to moderator Megyn Kelly, from a gossip perspective, perhaps the most interesting moment of the night was when he skirted around a direct question about his part in the ongoing “war on women”. And he was at his least attractive in an exchange with Megyn Kelly, one of Fox News’s three moderators for the debate.
